Windows 7: Add Disk Cleanup To The Right-Click Menu For A Hard Drive

Windows usually gets slower as time passes, so now and again you requires Disk Cleanup Utility to enhance the speed of Windows PC. Actually it flock together many junk and temporary files remains on the hard drive due to an irregular exit from a Windows session which leads slowing your productivity down.

Let's see HOW TO: Add Disk Cleanup To The Right-Click Menu For A Hard Drive in Windows 7

Instructions:

1. After the installation right click on the drive and then choose disk cleanup.

2. You would be asked whether to clean up all files or not if you are using Windows 7 or vista. Now select my files if you want to clean files from your account only and if you want to delete files from all users on the computer then select delete from all users on this computer.

 3. Now the disk cleanup will begin.


Manual Registry Tweak
Now open the registery editor from the satart menu,you can use the search box if you don't find it there.Then browse the folowing key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell.

Then create a new folder and name it as "disk cleanup" and set the default value to :disk cleanup.Then just below it create another key called "command" and set the value to following:

cleanmgr.exe /d %1


just rightclick on the drive and you wil see the new menu item.
