Quickly Lock Your Computer by Creating a Shortcut in Windows 7 or Windows Vista

Does it take time for you to lock your computer screen? The fastest and the simplest way to lock your screen is by using Win+L keyboard shortcut.

Some people would prefer to lock their workstation using mouse. You can have both options to lock your workstation.

To create a shortcut to lock Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP, you need to follow some instructions.


Instructions:

1. Right-click wherever you would like to create shortcut, select New,
2. Select shortcut, And now enter rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation into the shortcut text box. The screen will look different in Windows XP, but the same text can work.



3. Click next to continue. Now enter a name for the shortcut, and then select Finish.


That's all you need to do. Now you can lock your workstation using win+L keyboard shortcut.
